Georgetown

I spent Labor Day weekend in Washington D.C. celebrating a wedding. Despite the packed schedule, I managed to attend the George Bellows retrospective at the National Gallery and take a trip to Georgetown to do a little shopping.

Georgetown
Located at the intersection of Wisconsin and M Street, Georgetown is a bustling historic district featuring upscale restaurants, bars, and shops such as Lacoste, Kate Spade, Georgetown Cupcake, West Elm, Anthropologie, Lululemon, and J. Crew. It is also home to Georgetown University and the setting of the film St. Elmo’s Fire. A great place to people watch but I recommend visiting early if you want to get some serious shopping done. On the weekends, the sidewalks are packed by mid-afternoon.
