by: Candace Bushnell
One Fifth Avenue is Bushnell’s attempt to paint a story describing the kooky residents and petty dealings of one of Manhattan’s exclusive addresses. An eternal fan of Sex in the City, I was determined to finish the book. The first half of the book is dry, touting a host of cookie-cutter characters. However; somewhere in the middle of the 433 page book, the action picks up and I found myself turning page after page to read more. This book is a decent beach read, an interesting portrayal of the intersection of Manhattan society.
