Looking for a truly unique gift for friends and family this holiday season? My friend introduced me to Apothecarie, a line of handmade vegan soaps and lotions. Based in Darlington, Maryland, owner and horticulturalist, Heather Wheatley, handcrafts exceptional eco-friendly soaps and lotions. The ingredients are either grown in Heather’s garden, bought from local farmers, or carefully selected from fair-trade markets.
Her luxurious soaps come in a variety of fresh scents including Lemon Verbena, Winter Mint, Chamomile & Petitgrain, Basil, Sage & Oakmoss, and my favorite, Ylang Ylang. I love the creamy texture of her petroleum-free products. Apothecarie lotions are also available in a variety of exciting scents including: Geranium & Cedarwood, Sweet Bamboo, and Pomegranate and Cassis.

I love all of the Apothecarie products. The soaps are rich and creamy and the lotions never dry out my sensitive skin. And they smell delicious! Winter Mint and Vanilla Pear are two of my favs.
I LOOVE the Apothecarie line. I’ve seen them at craft fairs and now in some stores as well but it makes it so much easier to know there’s a web site I can go to (rather than out in this freezing cold!) I have seriously sensitive skin and have a hard time finding soaps that don’t dry me out – which is usually the case for the junk in the supermarkets. Once I was tipped off about the Apothecarie line I tried the Winter Mint and it was amazing!!! No skin issues and smells so damn good I almost took a bite out of it. I guess it wouldn’t have mattered since it is made with all natural ingredients.
Also love the flavors: tea, sandlewood, and grass!

The Apothecarie line is a real hit with us in Davidsonville since we are all farmers or work in gardens what a pleasure to bath and lotion with it. I personally have several bars going at one time depending on the mood and did you know there are really no bath tube rings left. Try the winter mint for those really sore and chapped hands you will love it.
The Apothecarie products are amazing! The packaging is beautiful – I’m going to be giving everyone packages of soaps and lotions for the Holidays this year. My absolute favorite is the Blood Orange soap – I can’t get enough of it.
I have used several of Apothecarie products. My family and I love them all. I am always waiting to see what new things they will come up with. I love the fact that Mrs. Wheatley uses products from “my own” back yard.
